In the ongoing Muslim holy Ramadan, the Bangladesh Police has arrested a madrasa headmaster for allegedly raping a minor girl, which is reported from Darshana in Chuadanga district of Khulna Division of Bangladesh.<\/p>\n
On April 7, 54-year-old Maulvi Golam Kibria, the girl's father filed a police station case against Kibria, a resident of Kuchita Mog village in Bheramara upazila of Kushtia and was serving as an officer in charge of that madrasa for several years.<\/p>\n
Around 10 am on Thursday, the police arrested Maulvi and arrested the accused of rape. This incident was very exciting.<\/p>\n
According to local sources and police statement, Mashuma Jannat Mahila Madrasah was established in a rented house in Tetultala area of Darshana in 2016. At that time, Imam Maulana Mufti Ghulam Kibria, who served as the head of Darshana Central Jame Masjid, took over as the head of the newly established Mahila Madrasah, but, due to various disputes, he had to withdraw from the Imamat of Darshana Central Jame Masjid.<\/p>\n
While running the Mahila Madrasah, several charges were made against Golam Kibria, a couple of years ago, a student was allegedly killed in the madrasa due to excessive torture, and the name of Maulvi was brought up as an accused in the case, despite the importance of the allegations, the administration had covered up the incident.<\/p>\n
But this time, Gholam Kibria has been accused of raping a 10-year-old girl in class 3, and she has confessed to rape, and the family of the minor victim has detailed the matter, saying that Imam Ghulam Kibria took their daughter to a rented house near the station and raped her multiple times. But a few days ago, when the girl's classmates came to know about the incident, the matter came to light and rumors started.
\nThe victim's family also came to know about the rape during this time, Thursday morning, the angry family members reached the madrasa to find the accused Maulana but they went to his rented house without finding him in the madrasa and asked for an explanation.<\/p>\n
During interrogation, the rape accused Maulana Ghulam Kibria publicly confessed to the rape. \u201cI did this wrong by being cheated by the devil,\u201d said Maulana, a \u201cdevil\u201d that \u2018injured\u2019 her and raped her.<\/p>\n
On receiving the information, the local police reached the spot and brought the situation under control, and the court ordered him to be taken to the court immediately after being taken into police custody and immediately surrounded by the agitated crowd.<\/p>\n
The victim was taken to Chuadanga Sadar Hospital for medical examination on Thursday, but she was kept in the victim's safe home as there was no doctor who was scheduled to undergo a medical examination on Friday.<\/p>\n
Regarding the case, Darshana Police Station OC Lutful Kabir said, \u201cThe victim was a resident student of the madrasa. Teacher Golam Kibria threatened her and raped her at least twice. After the rape, the child fell ill. The family took legal action after the mother came to know about the incident. We are also interrogating other students of the madrasa in this regard. The necessary steps will be taken for the medical examination of the student.\u201d<\/p>\n
