On Saturday afternoon, the imam of the mosque raped a madrasa student while fasting at Bangaon Uttarpara Mosque in Islampur Union of Islampur Union of Sunamganj.<\/span><\/p>\n

The 40-year-old Imam Shafiqul Islam was a resident of Banigram in Goainghat upazila, which was committed by the 40-year-old Imam's room adjacent to the mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Chatak police station, Shafiqul Islam teaches local Islampur Madrasah, he also leads prayers in Islampur Bangaon Uttarpaja Jame Masjid. He also had a living room inside the mosque, and he called a 17-year-old student of the same village to teach Masala Masael and Quran during Ramadan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Imam Shafiqul raped Metti in her house, advised her at one point that if she prayed while fasting, she would be more blessed if she listened to the worship and if she heard about the children, the victim came to the victim and reported the incident.<\/span><\/p>\n

When the relatives came and asked the Imam, the Imam threatened them, and the victim's family filed a case at the police station when the local dignitaries advised them to file a complaint, and the police arrested the Imam at night after receiving the information.<\/span><\/p>\n

The victim's family filed a case under the Women and Child Abuse Act at Chatak police station on Sunday, which was sent to jail by the court on Sunday.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is alleged that Imam and Madrasa teacher Maulana Shafiqul Islam sexually harassed and tortured many other students in this madrasa but no family has spoken out for fear of honor.<\/span><\/p>\n
